DSP Design Engineer - 85 - 100K plus relocation  - AZ

DSP Design Engineer

BSEE/MSEE with a minimum of 8 years digital design experience. 

Position requires experience in requirements generation, DSP architecture/concept development, generation of trade studies, and detailed digital hardware design.

Direct responsibility for digital module development including specifications, FPGA designs, VHDL coding, simulation, analyses, PWB layout, high speed interfaces (SERDES, CML, LVDS, etc.), component selection, integration & test and flight production.

 

Component through system level design, simulation, verification, integration and test of communications hardware required.

Recent FPGA design experience utilizing VHDL, Verilog, C , Matlab and/or other simulation/modeling/synthesis tools is a must.

Experience with high speed DSP architectures and algorithms.

DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithm design and/or implementation, preferably in ASIC/FGPA high speed architectures as opposed to DSP processors or telecom.

Emphasis on digital signal processing, analog to digital conversion, FFTs, bus interfaces and algorithms development.

Experience with link budget analysis, communication systems, and signal processing.

Experience with high reliability payload electronics preferred.

Must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance and able to pass an extended background investigation (EBI) for this position.

 

Sr. C4 Systems Engineer -   AZ   90 - 110K w/full relocation
Senior C4 Systems Engineer- Communications
 
This is a C4 system design and integration position vs. radio/circuit design position.
 
BSEE with a minimum of 11 years voice/data communication systems engineering experience is required.
Requires participation in all phases of system development in support of efforts that involve military voice/data communication systems (C4).

Specific tasks may include system architecture definition, requirements analysis, trade studies, network loading/throughput analyses, link margin analyses, antenna system evaluation, communication system design, supplier/ subcontractor selection & management, and integration and test activities.
Will be responsible for applying systematic processes to ensure the soundness and operational suitability of designs and design
concepts. Tasking may also support business pursuits through development of technical briefings, system design concepts, white papers and technical proposals.
Experience developing system architectures and implementations based on COTS/GOTS hardware and software is required.
Familiarity and experience with multiple of the following areas is required: radio system architectures, VoIP, voice/data networking, tactical military radio communication systems, information security, OPNET modeling, antennas, and tactical SATCOM.
 

Good communication and interpersonal skills to brief customers/ management, provide direction and leadership to other engineers, and support work in a team environment.
Some travel may be required.
 
Successful past experience as system engineer interfacing with government agencies and/or major prime contractors is a strong plus.
Candidates must have or be capable of obtaining a US DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Lead Project Engineer IV, RF Systems - North of Boston, MA

 

Project Lead Engineer responsible for leading a team in the design of new and novel RF systems and generators to be used in plasma sources for semiconductor manufacturing. This individual will lead a team of engineers in the design, development, qualification, and release to manufacturing of RF power products that will be used to drive complex plasma loads. Must be able to independently lead an R&D team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical setting, and successfully interact with members of other organizations in a cross-functional development environment. A successful candidate must be highly self-motivated and have a fundamental understanding of RF systems, amplifiers, and controls.

·         Provide project leadership on assigned projects from start to finish, including technical leadership, and resource and budget allocation.

·         Organize teams to execute development and release of new RF products from conceptual design through product release.

·         Manage R&D projects working closely with process, mechanical, electrical engineers and scientists for system characterization, specification, and electrical and mechanical integration.

·         Work with manufacturing engineering on release and documentation of new hardware, test equipment, and assembly fixtures.

·         Participate in the reliability program definition and drive continuous improvement efforts.

·         Support process and field engineering in customer application issues, including occasional field trips when required to introduce new products.

·         Communicate effectively in both oral and written form critical technical information regarding electronic and electrical system design and performance, including schedule, specifications and cost ramifications.

Requirements:

·         MSEE in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 5 or more years of project lead experience.

·         10 years experience in RF or power electronics design; experience with RF driven plasmas a plus.

Test / DVT / Qualification Engineers - 70 -95K   Alabama & Upstate NY
 
PRODUCT QUALIFICATION ENGINEER(s): - Huntsville, AL

Perform functional, interoperability and performance tests on the total Carrier Access devices. 

This will include legacy and AOS based IADs.

Design tests required to qualify newly added features.

Work with Design Engineering to resolve issues identified during test.

This requires accurately characterizing the issue and duplicating it when possible. 5-7 years related work experience.

Detailed knowledge of the OSI model, T-1, ATM, Frame Relay, PPP, TCP/IP, Cisco IOS, Adtran OS, SIP, MGCP, QoS, etc.

A strong background in analog voice protocols (Loop Start, Ground Start, E&M) is highly desirable.

Previous experience in a QA/Test role is a plus along with automation experience.

BSEE or BSCS degree is required.

CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE is a plus.

Test Engineer - Lab View - Upstate NY

Location NY - Full Relocation
 

Develop automated tests for new and existing products, lead automation projects, develop test automation strategies and methodologies, and assist in mentoring others working with automated tests and software. 

Lead key test automation projects and interface with other engineers/departments to establish requirements, develop project plans, determine tools, hardware and methods to be employed, and direct/assist others assigned to projects.
Serve as active member of new product development teams, responsible for ensuring design-for-test automation. Work with design team and new product test engineers to establish built in test functions, test interface requirements, and diagnostic features.
Develop automated test software using tools including LabVIEW and TestStand. Key functions include code development, system test and verification, and deployment at local and remote sites.
Provide technical support for existing automation software and implement improvements.
Train/mentor other engineers and test operators using automated test systems.  

Minimum BS degree and 5+ years experience developing automated tests in a LabVIEW environment.
Project leadership experience.
Ability to interact with customers on a technical level.
Excellent organizational skills and follow-through.
Excellent communication/listening skills.
Previous experience testing RF products a plus.

Real-time Embedded Software Engineers at all levels MD

Develop real-time embedded software for advanced Space and Airborne Communications Systems. Programs include Space and Airborne Sensor Payload Engineering, Radar Signal Processing, Solid State Laser Systems.

Develop and integrate real-time code, create algorithms for target detection and alarm control, and develop code for hardware control. Develop code interfacing front-end hardware and signal processors and displays. Responsible for the overall management of the reliability program (including product development support, compliance testing, PC Design etc), act as the internal consultant on all reliability matters and interface with customers (as necessary) on key reliability programs/issues.

Position Details:

·         Improve/maintain plans and procedures for evaluating new/existing product design integrity.

·         Generate and/or approve test plans for product qualification and life testing.

·         Generate/update qualification and reliability test plans.

·         Interface with design engineering & marketing organizations to establish test plans.

·         Manage the product qualification-testing lab that performs Compliance, Environmental, and STRIFE, HALT and Benchmark testing.

·         Perform various reliability analysis functions - e.g. reliability predictions (modeled and field), design & process FMECA, Weibull, Warranty collation & reporting, etc.

·         Perform product design reviews (for reliability, safety, regulatory compliance etc).

·         Contribute/work with new product development teams.

Position Requirements:

·         BSEE minimum.

·         10 years of Quality/Reliability experience, with a minimum of 3 years in Reliability Engineering.

·         Compliance experience (both technical & administrative) in EU "CE Marking" is a must.

·         Familiarity/experience with Industry-Accepted test standards (e.g. Semi, NEMA, UL, CSA, SEMATECH) desired.

·         Highly self-motivated, organized individual able to multi-task is a must.

·         Strong analytical and technical ability (a problem solver).

·         Independent thinker, ability to weigh all aspects of a problem and provide viable solutions.

·         Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and computer skills.

Senior Lead Systems Architect for various military systems.

Primary responsibility will be to lead a team to define and implement a system architecture using a combination of COTS processing, networking and data storage components into an embedded solution to meet a harsh military environment.

Additional responsibilities include performing systems performance analysis, conducting trade studies, generating system description design documents, and presenting design concepts and solutions to both internal and external customers.
 

Individual needs to have experience with the following:
Embedded real-time operating systems, commercial computer architecture (PowerPC, Pentium, Spare, etc.) high-speed networking (Gbit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, Firewire, Wave Division Multiplexing technology), data storage products and capabilities (compact Flash, rotating disk, secure digital) and packing of COTS components for the military environment.
